Each Tuesday, CoachesAid.com publishes a new Hot List, which is a list of high school athletes who’ve done something extraordinary lately in the state of Washington.
This is a list that features the best of the best in Washington State: The hottest high school athletes based on recent accomplishments, typically from the previous week’s action.

Here is this week's CoachesAid.com Hot List for the state of Washington, in no particular order:
Volleyball
ALEXIS OLGARD, Mead: The 6-foot-5 senior helped the Class 4A No. 1-ranked Panthers win three matches last week to finish the Greater Spokane League season unbeaten. Olgard, who’s headed to the University of Southern California on a volleyball scholarship, had 14 kills and seven blocks in a sweep over Central Valley, 15 kills and five blocks against University and was part of a three-game sweep over North Central.

Girls cross country
AMY-ELOISE NEALE, Glacier Peak: The freshman broke her own course record to win the girls race at the Western Conference championships at Lakewood High School. Neale won by almost a minute on the 3.1-mile course in a time of 18 minutes, 15 seconds. Glacier Peak is ranked No. 1 in Class 3A and is No. 13 in the country in Milesplit Fab-15 National Rankings that came out Oct. 13.

Girls swimming
HANNAH TAYLOR, Marysville-Pilchuck: A 14-year-old freshman, Taylor already has rewritten most of the Marysville-Pilchuck’s girls swimming records. She has set school records in seven of the eight individual events and been a part of school best in all three relays. She also has achieved Class 4A state qualifying times in every event. She also has qualified for the 2009 AT&T Short Course National Championships, to be held Dec. 3-5 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Girls soccer
JORI SKORPIK, Kamiakin: The senior from Kennewick scored two goals in Kamiakin’s 3-2 victory over West Valley and had a goal in the Braves’ 3-0 win over Davis last week. One of the top scorers in the Columbia Basin Big Nine League, Skorpik increased her totals to 19 goals and eight assists on the season. Kamiakin improved to 12-1-0 after those victories.

HEATHER JOHNSON, Southridge: The sophomore forward scored four goals in the Suns’ 5-1 victory over Davis in Yakima. Johnson was a second team selection on the 2008 Columbia Basin Big Nine League all-conference team as a freshman.

Football
LOUIS DAVIS, JR., Wilson: The Rams’ running back rushed for a career-best 322 yardson 28 carries and scored four touchdowns as Wilson beat Shelton, 35-27, to clinch a playoff spot. Davis also had 53 yards receiving in the Narrows League game in Shelton.

MATT HADLEY, Connell: The 5-foot-11, 170-pound sophomore running back scored three second-half touchdowns as the unbeaten Eagles beat perennial power Royal , 30-14, to secure the South Central Athletic Conference’s No. 1 seed to the regional playoffs. Hadley carried the ball 20 times for 126 yards.

DYLAN MCDOUGALL, Montesano: The senior defensive end had three quarterback backs to lead the Bulldogs’ dominating defense in a 48-7 victory over Onalaska. Montesano led only 14-7 at halftime, after the defense allowed the first points of the season. But the Bulldogs limited the Loggers to nine total yards of offense in the final two quarters.

Boys cross country
CHRIS BORG, Peninsula: The junior was part of a dominating Peninsula showing at the Class 3A South Puget Sound League sub-district meet at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood. Borg finished first in a time of 15 minutes, 49.6 seconds – about 15 seconds ahead of teammate and runner-up David Lee. The Seahawks from Gig Harbor had five of the top seven finishers, including Borg’s brother, Nick, who was sixth.

ANDREW WOLF, Mount Rainier Lutheran: The junior won the Sea-Tac 1B/2B League championship and helped the Hawks defend the team title. Wolf covered the 3.2-mile course in 17:37.8. Teammate Ryan Hopkins was third (18:13.6), behind Wolf and Cross Point Academy’s Russell Melin (18:11.5). The girls individual champion was Mount Rainier Lutheran junior Alexis Fynboe (20:51.9).
